Waterloo Housing Authority Offering Home Buyer Education Classes

The Waterloo Housing Authority is offering a home buyer education class for only $20. The four sessions, held at the Waterloo Center for the Arts, start next week and participants must attend all four to receive a certificate. Topics covered include managing your money, understanding credit, what you can afford, mortgages, buying a home and shopping for a home. Registration is required and limited to the first 30 received. The class is a prerequisite for down payment assistance and voucher home ownership.

Tuesday, October 17
Wednesday, October 18
Thursday, October 19
Time: from 5:00-7:00 p.m.
Location: Waterloo Center for the Arts, 225 Commercial Street, Waterloo

Participants need to pick up a registration form with an instruction sheet at the office address below. They then need to fill it out and return in with proof of income, and their $20 fee:
