The Department Rebranding Committee, made up of police officials and community members individually score each submission based on the following criteria:
- Visibility of design
- Designs should embody any individual or combination of the following words: respect, service, vigilance
- Uniqueness of the design
- Conformity to the shape of the current WPD insignia
The Committee members will individually score each design and choose from the top-ranked designs at the January 13th meeting of the Waterloo Police Department Rebranding Committee.
Artists and designers who have submitted designs to the City or the Police Department previously, are requesting to resubmitted their work now to insure it is considered in the contest.
Designs are to be submitted electronically as a JPEG or PNG file no later than December 26, 2020 by sending to email@example.com. Questions can be sent to the same address.
