Getting a complete and accurate count of Black Hawk County’s population determines our state's representation in Congress. It also determines the distribution of more than $675 billion in federal funding for vital programs and services in education, health, housing, public safety, and transportation for Waterloo.

As of 5/24, Black Hawk County had 67.9% self responded. If we leave just 1% uncounted, that is a potential loss to our community of $38.6 million.
As of 5/24, the City of Waterloo has has 64.1% self response for the 2020 census.
