Sanitary Sewer Force Main Repair

The City of Waterloo has awarded the FY 2019 Cattle Congress Sanitary Sewer Force Main Repair to Peterson Contractors, Inc., of Reinbeck, Iowa on May 21^st, 2019.  The contractor will repair the existing 10-inch sanitary sewer force main as a part of this project. The project is anticipated to be completed by mid-July. 

Beginning Monday, June 17, 2019, the contractor will begin work and will close the South Riverside Trail that runs along the north side of the Electric Park Ballroom to Conger Street. Please see the attached map showing the construction zone highlighted for this week and South Riverside Trail detour route. 

For safety purposes, please stay away from the construction area. Heavy equipment will be moving back and forth in the area. It would be advisable to stay behind the sidewalk on the property side during the repair work.
