Jerome Amos Jr.

jeromeamosjrJerome Amos Jr. has been a 4th Ward resident for the majority of his 60+ years. A graduate of Waterloo East in 1972, he attended Upper Iowa University in Fayette, Iowa, before going to work for Waterloo Industries and then John Deere Tractor Works. He retired from Deere’s with 36 years of service credit.

An active volunteer, Jerome has served the Waterloo community as a member of the following boards and commissions: Iowa Workforce Development Board; Iowa Energy Sector Partnership; UAW Local 838 Civil and Human Rights Committee; Waterloo Commission on Human Rights; Blackhawk County Sanitation Allocation; Citizens Advisory Council.

Jerome currently works as an Adjunct Instructor in Computer Numerical Control (CNC) at Hawkeye Community College. Jerome enjoys spending his time with family. He is married to Tina Harmon-Amos and between them they have 7 adult children.
