Central Garage

The Central Garage / Fleet Management Department provides scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on over 450 pieces of equipment, supporting City-Wide operations. These operations include Sanitation trucks, construction equipment, snow removal equipment, street sweepers, police vehicles as well as the fleet of sedans and small pickup trucks. All maintenance operations have been consolidated into one central facility, located in the Public Works Building at 625 Glenwood Street.

This department is also responsible for the purchase and disposition of city owned equipment as well as managing the city owned fuel distribution site located on Black Hawk Street.
